With the Dassel-Cokato Performing Arts Center (PAC), the DC community is able to bring in big-city entertainment year-round, such as the Minnesota Orchestra and the a capella group, Tonic Sol-fa. The PAC was built in 2004, and began entertaining audiences with big name acts in 2005. The 800-seat, air-conditioned auditorium is located on the DC high school and middle school campus. The state-of-the art sound and light equipment gives a professional theatre atmosphere that entertainers want to keep coming back to, without the cost.

Cokato Pool

The Cokato Pool opened in 1992 and has provided cool relief to children and adults alike. Open from early June through the end of August, the pool provides a fun place to stay “cool” for the entire family. Click here for hours and rate information.

Peterson Park

Peterson Park, located on Broadway and Fourth Avenue, forms the hub of Cokato. The 4.8-acre park is adjacent to both the business district and the elementary school, and is the site of many community activities. Playground equipment, ball diamonds, and a steep hill for winter sledding are used extensively by youngsters throughout the year. Peterson Park is also home to Cokato’s premier annual event, the Corn Carnival.

Veterans Memorial Park

The whole family will enjoy Veterans Memorial Park, located on Johnson Ave. N., on the east side of Brooks Lake. A baseball field, picnic shelter, open play fields, playground equipment, a boat launching ramp, and fishing pier are all available. Additional improvements are underway to the baseball field from a matching grant award from the Minnesota Twins Community Foundation.
