Comstock is a city in Clay County, Minnesota. US Highway 75 is a major route in the community. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.22 square miles (0.57 km2), all of it land. The elevation is 922 ft (281 m) above sea level.

As of the census of 2010, there were 93 people, 38 households, and 27 families residing in the city. The population density was 422.7 inhabitants per square mile (163.2/km2). There were 44 housing units at an average density of 200.0 per square mile (77.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 100.0% White.
There were 38 households of which 26.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.9% were married couples living together, 7.9% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 28.9% were non-families. 23.7% of all households were made up of individuals. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.93.
The median age in the city was 39.3 years. 24.7% of residents were under the age of 18; 3.4% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 29.1% were from 25 to 44; 24.8% were from 45 to 64; and 18.3% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 58.1% male and 41.9% female.

COMSTOCK, a city in Holy Cross Township, sections 21 and 28, was named in honor of Solomon Gilman Comstock of Moorhead, for whom also a township in Marshall County was named. He was born in Argyle, Maine, May 9, 1842; came to Minnesota in 1869, settling in Moorhead; was admitted to the bar in 1871; was a representative in the state legislature, 1876-77 and 1879-81; was a state senator, 1883-87; and was a representative in Congress, 1889-91. The city was incorporated on November 7, 1921, and separated from the township on March 18, 1926; it began in 1889 when David Askegaard moved his grain warehouse to the Comstock Siding in section 21; he built his home in 1890 and the first store in 1891; Askegaard also had a lumberyard, a creamery, and a potato warehouse, and served as postmaster when the post office was established in 1890.
