History:

DE SOTA, a site in Lake Fremont Township, was platted in 1899 as a station of the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railroad and named for the explorer, Hernando de Soto; residents protested the Spanish name, the Spanish-American War having just ended. Accessibility was so limited that a request was made to move the site two miles south, creating the community of Dunnell, the De Sota site being totally vacated within three months and reverting to farmland.

The Natural Life Store, Inc. is owned by Alicia Engstrom of Dunnell, Minnesota. Alicia and her husband, Tad, are cloth-diapering their son, Isaak, and have had a positive experience since they have been doing so. In September of 2007, Alicia purchased the business from Kristine Higginbotham, founder of the Natural Life Store, Inc. We offer one-on-one consultations to help educate new parents about the importance of cloth diapering both for the environment and the health of your baby. Not to mention it will save you a ton of money.
