Genola is a city in Morrison County, Minnesota. Minnesota State Highway 25 serves as a main route in the community. The city of Pierz is adjacent to Genola. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.34 square miles (0.88 km2), all of it land. The elevation is 1,161 ft (354 m) above sea level.

As of the census of 2010, there were 75 people, 32 households, and 17 families residing in the city. The population density was 220.6 inhabitants per square mile (85.2/km2). There were 35 housing units at an average density of 102.9 per square mile (39.7/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 100.0% White.
There were 32 households of which 28.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 37.5% were married couples living together, 12.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 46.9% were non-families. 40.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 25% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.34 and the average family size was 3.29.
The median age in the city was 39.3 years. 28% of residents were under the age of 18; 8% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 20% were from 25 to 44; 24.1% were from 45 to 64; and 20% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 46.7% male and 53.3% female.

GENOLA is a city in sections 17 and 18 in Pierz Township, platted in August 1908 and at first called New Pierz; on April 15, 1915, it was incorporated as Grainville but changed immediately to Genola, the name of a village in Piedmont, Italy; it separated from the township on May 3, 1921. The village developed when the Soo Line came in 1907; the post office began in 1912 as New Pierz, changed to Genola in 1915, and became a rural branch in 1951.
