Headquarters for the Blue Earth County Historical Society, the museum highlights settlement, development, history, and culture of Blue Earth County and Mankato, including hundreds of artifacts from Blue Earth County Historical Society collection in the exhibit gallery. The archives is a library of historical data, papers, files, photographs and books, etc., all indexed for use in family history and scholarly research.

The Carnegie Art Center is a community-based, nonprofit arts organization committed to strengthening local visual arts. It's the largest visual art center in south central Minnesota and is a beautiful venue for visual art exhibits, art studios and special community events.

The Mankato MoonDogs are a baseball team that plays in the Northwoods League, an NCAA summer baseball league. The team started play in 1999 as the Mankato Mashers, and were renamed in 2002. Their home games are played at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato, Minnesota.

Established in 1950, MSO is the oldest and largest performing arts organization in Mankato. The mission of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra is to celebrate classical music through public presentation, to promote arts education by introducing the children of our community to the wonders of orchestral and choral music, to make such music accessible to all residents, and to contribute vital energy to regional economic development and cultural tourism.

With its wooded ravines, bluff top overlooks, and wide valley bottom, the Minnesota River Valley in south central Minnesota is perhaps a lesser known Minnesota landscape. Tucked into one of the countless wooded ravines near Mankato, a small tributary plunges 42 feet over a stone ledge before it converges with the Minnesota River. For generations, the privately owned Minnemishinona Falls has been relatively unknown to the residents of nearby North Mankato and Mankato, even though it stands taller than its more famous counterpart located across the valley, Minneopa Falls.

Twin Rivers Center for the Arts (TRCA) is your information hub for arts and culture in the Greater Mankato area. We are a nonprofit organization that advocates for the arts; connects people to arts and culture; and creates partnerships between the business, cultural, and academic communities - all to ensure that the arts thrive in Greater Mankato.

Here visitors can explore the state's premiere accessible nature center. Two miles of paved paths connect wildlife reserves, prairie vegetation, Indian mounds, and an Indian village site.

Established in 1905, this is Minnesota's third oldest state park. Visit twin waterfalls plunging 35 feet into the valley below. Hike through forest, prairie and savanna ecosystems. Camp on a glacial terrace overlooking the Minnesota River. And visit the remains of Seppmann Mill, an old wind powered grist mill used by early settlers to grind their grains. Favorite activities include hiking, photography, bird watching and fishing in the Minnesota River.

The North Minnesota River Trail is the big link that offers a safe and convenient route for trail enthusiasts as well as provides connectivity to other Mankato trails and the communities that line the trail. Trail goers can take in scenic views of plants, trees, wildlife and a naturally flowing stream. They also have the opportunity to see industries they normally would not have the opportunity to see, such as the foundry, power plant, quarries and Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Located one mile south of Mankato in the scenic Minnesota River Valley. Mount Kato offers the Midwest skier a fantastic winter experience with: 19 Trails - 4 beginner, 8 intermediate and 7 advanced with 100% snowmaking. 8 chair lifts - 5 quad and 3 double 3 handle tows. Located in North Mankato, Minnesota, this par 72, 18 hole course has four sets of tees and features the area's #1 driving range and two hole practice course with a chipping green and bunker.  Banquet rooms are available with seating up to 200 guests. 

The Red Jacket Trail, RJT, runs through spectacular scenery from the Minnesota River at Mankato south to productive prairie land. The trail, which follows a former railroad, runs near the Blue Earth River, crosses the Le Sueur River, and for much of its length follows a deeply incised natural ravine.

The trail has been developed for bicycling, hiking, in-line skating, horseback riding, skiing, and snowmobiling. However, snowmobiles with studded tracks are prohibited. It begins at Lime Valley Road near Mankato and ends east of Interstate 35 at Faribault (trail users will need to use the signed route on city streets through Waterville). The Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail provides a paved treadway. A second treadway for horseback riding is completed from Lime Valley Road to Eagle Lake. A second horseback segment travels from Sakatah Lake State Park to Morristown. Sakatah Lake State Park is along the trail and provides a separate bicycling campground, picnic grounds, boat access, and additional hiking trails. There are several other lakes and public parks within an easy ride of the trail

One of the best places to golf in Mankato. If you are looking for some great golfing fun, then Terrace View is it! Our facilities include a beautiful 9 hole regulation course, an executive Par 3 course, a 50+ stall driving range and a full service pro shop. This 3304 yard, par 36 course is great for the beginner golfer and yet challenging for more advanced golfers that are willing to take risks.
