Geography:

Millville is a city along the Zumbro River in Wabasha County, Minnesota. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.14 square miles (0.36 km²), all of it land. The elevation is 830 ft (253 m) above sea level.

Demographics:

As of the census of 2010, there were 182 people, 75 households, and 54 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,300.0 inhabitants per square mile (501.9/km2). There were 80 housing units at an average density of 571.4 per square mile (220.6/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 100.0% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.2% of the population.

There were 75 households of which 25.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.3% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 28.0% were non-families. 22.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.43 and the average family size was 2.78.

The median age in the city was 33.5 years. 23.6% of residents were under the age of 18; 12% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24.7% were from 25 to 44; 23.6% were from 45 to 64; and 15.9% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 51.1% male and 48.9% female.

History:

MILLVILLE, a city in section 18 of Oakwood Township, was incorporated as a village in June 1899. It was founded by Charles F. Read, for whom Reads Landing was named, on a site selected for its good gristmill possibility, although none was built. When the post office was established in 1867, Read was the first postmaster in his home. It had a station of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad.
