The course rating is 34.8 and it has a slope rating of 127. Blooming Prairie golf course opened in 1936. Rick Clemmenson manages the course as the General Manager/Superintendent.

Central Park is located in the heart of the city at the corner of Main St. and Center Ave. This park has plenty of playground equipment for kids to play on, as well as a pavilion and a gazebo. These buildings can be reserved for events by calling City Hall. This is where most activities occur during the 4th of July Celebration.

Fire Department Park is located just off U.S. Hwy. 218 next to the Servicemen's Club. This park contains playground equipment and a pavilion that can be reserved by calling City Hall. Every year the Fire Department has their annual Corn & Brat Feed in this park.

Brookside Campground invites you to our park to spend the night, weekend, or enjoy a seasonal site. Our sites all have lovely oak trees for shade at sometime during the day, plus picnic tables and fire-rings. The sites are all conveniently located near the restrooms and lodge. Riverview is for tenting and is located along the banks of the Cedar River on the west side of the campground. You can fish in the river or put your canoe in and go for a ride. Brookside has planned activities each weekend for the kids on Saturday. We are a family park so we try not to take time away from families on the weekend. Join us for a vacation to remember.
