Cook County is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the population is 5,168. Its county seat is Grand Marais6. The Grand Portage Indian Reservation is entirely within the county.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 8,650 km˛ (3,340 mi˛). 3,757 km˛ (1,451 mi˛) of it is land and 4,893 km˛ (1,889 mi˛ or 56.56%) of it is water.
