Ogilvie is a city in Kanabec County, Minnesota. Minnesota State Highways 23 and 47 are two of the main routes in the community. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.93 square miles (2.41 km2), all of it land. The elevation is 1,050 ft (320 m) above sea level.

As of the census of 2010, there were 369 people, 160 households, and 91 families residing in the city. The population density was 396.8 inhabitants per square mile (153.2/km2). There were 186 housing units at an average density of 200.0 per square mile (77.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 98.9% White, 0.3% Native American, and 0.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.3% of the population.

There were 160 households of which 27.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 33.8% were married couples living together, 16.9% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 43.1% were non-families. 30.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.31 and the average family size was 2.89.

The median age in the city was 41.3 years. 24.4% of residents were under the age of 18; 6.1% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 22.3% were from 25 to 44; 28.4% were from 45 to 64; and 18.7% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 49.6% male and 50.4% female.

OGILVIE, a city in Kanabec Township, sections 26 and 35, was incorporated as a village on January 21, 1902. The first land was purchased in 1854 by the Hersey Lumber Company; Noah Adams built a sawmill and store in the late 1880s; the post office was first Fisk and then Groundhouse, before becoming Ogilvie in 1899. Oric Ogilvie Whited purchased the townsite, filing a plat on July 18, 1889, changing the name to Ogilvie, and later that year the Great Northern Railway changed the depot name from Groundhouse to Ogilvie.
